The Hazwoper 8 hour refresher is an annual
training provided to keep your hazwoper 40
or 24 hour certification in compliance. It will
be a review of the main objectives discussed in
your 40 hour initial training.
Topics like PPE, decontamination, emergency response
will be covered, bringing relevance back into focus.
This 8 hour refresher will not subsitute as an intitial 40 hour or
24 hour training. It is the trainees/employers responsibility
keeping the trainee in compliance.
The objectives for this course are to meet the
Federal OSHA HAZWOPER training requirements of 29
CFR 1910.120(e)(8), CFR 1910.120(p)(7)(i), or
29 CFR 1910.120(q)(8) for General Industry, and
29 CFR 1926.65(e)(8), 29 CFR 1926.65(p)(7)(i), or 29 CFR 1926.65(q)(8)
for Construction. This course is also intended to meet
any HAZWOPER training requirements for EPA
and State OSHA regulations.
